ORDINARY MEETINGS

An ordinary meeting is a regular gathering held to discuss community matters, share updates, and make decisions that affect our local area. We encourage active participation from community members as these meetings provide an opportunity for residents to voice their opinions, contribute ideas, and stay informed about important issues.

Our meetings are scheduled on the last Tuesday of every month, commencing at 6:00 p.m. and concluding at 7:30 p.m. The venue for these gatherings is GESH Community Centre, 1 Redcastle Square, Garthamlock, G33 5EG, where we come together to collaborate and work towards the betterment of our community.

We value the input and interests of our residents, and if you would like to add a specific agenda item for discussion at the next meeting, we kindly request that you contact the Secretary two weeks in advance. This allows us sufficient time to review and include the requested item on the agenda, ensuring that it receives appropriate attention and consideration.

To minimise waste and promote sustainability, we have adopted an environmentally conscious approach. By default, we do not print multiple paper copies of documents such as agendas and minutes for distribution during the meeting. However, if you prefer a printed copy, kindly request it in advance, and we will gladly provide you with the necessary documents.

We look forward to your presence and active participation in shaping the future of our neighbourhood through these engaging meetings.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held once a year in October and is a significant gathering focused on key aspects of our council’s operations. During this meeting, we review the annual report, examine audited accounts for financial transparency, and appoint office bearers for the upcoming year. If necessary, we acknowledge the returning officer responsible for overseeing the election process of new community councillors.

The AGM efficiently addresses agenda items and is followed by a full Ordinary meeting where broader community matters are discussed. We highly encourage community members to actively participate, contribute to decision-making, elect representatives, and shape the future direction of our council.
