Are you looking for a fun-filled day out with your family and friends? Look no further! We are thrilled to announce that the GESH Community Centre, located in Garthamlock, with support from Garthamlock, Craigend, and Gartloch Community Council is hosting an exciting Community Fair Day on 13th August 2023 from 12 pm to 4 pm.
The Community Fair Day promises to be a fantastic event, bringing together the local community for a day of enjoyment and celebration. Whether you’re a resident or from a neighbouring area, this fair is open to all, and we extend a warm invitation to everyone!
In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing challenges of the cost-of-living crisis, it became increasingly evident to the Garthamlock, Craigend, and Gartloch Community Council that addressing mental health concerns was of utmost importance. As a result, the council took a proactive step towards supporting residents by funding a series of mat-based yoga sessions. In collaboration with YoGlasgow, a local yoga provider, these sessions aimed to improve the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of the community members. Best of all, these sessions were offered free of charge over an 8-week period throughout May – July 2023.
