Glasgow City Council has a legal obligation to address this issue in designated areas, as specified by the Litter (Animal Droppings) Order 1991 of the Environmental Protection Act (1990). Engaging the Community: Garthamlock, Craigend, and Gartloch Take a Stand Against Litter
In a united effort to combat litter and improve the overall cleanliness of our local neighbourhood, the Garthamlock, Craigend, and Gartloch Community Council recognised the importance of active community participation. Understanding the significance of a cleaner environment, we requested the establishment of a community litter pick hub in Garthamlock. Through a collaborative partnership with GESH, the local community centre, our vision became a reality.
