At our most recent meeting, Police Scotland advised that reports in the last month have reduced considerably. It was also noted that some of the concerns raised during our meeting were not registered with them.

If you have a non-urgent matter that doesnโ€™t require immediate police assistance, please report concerns directly to Police Scotland using one of the following methods:

Recent incidents of crime have been reported across Garthamlock, Craigend, and Gartloch, including:

โžก๏ธSetting dangerous fires
โžก๏ธAttempting entry to properties
โžก๏ธAttempting to access vehicles
โžก๏ธFly tipping
โžก๏ธAnti-social behaviour

We strongly encourage residents to report any crime via the following channels:

We understand that not everyone can access the My Glasgow App, so we’ve created a leaflet with all the key contact telephone numbers to report repairs and other concerns directly to the appropriate Glasgow City Council departments or third partiesย ๐Ÿ“ž

Including concerns such as:

  • Noise Problems
  • Cleansing & Bulk Uplifts
  • Utilities
  • Bus Shelter Damage

It’s all about being inclusive and making sure every member of our community can access the support they need.

Please remember that we all play a crucial role in maintaining a safe environment. If you witness any suspicious behaviour or are aware of any crimes, we urge you to report them through the appropriate channels. By doing so, you contribute to deterring future criminal activities and enhancing the quality of life for everyone.

Addressing Community Concerns: Taking Action Against the Surge in Crime

In a recent community council meeting held on 29 August 2023, several concerned residents came forward to voice their worries about a growing surge in crime throughout our community. The alarming increase in house break-ins and car thefts has left many residents feeling vulnerable and anxious about their safety.

Recognising the urgency of the situation, the community council has taken proactive steps to address these concerns. Following extensive discussions during the meeting, the community council has issued a formal letter addressed to all elected members representing Ward 21. This letter includes our Local Councillors, constituency MSP, regional MSPs, and MP.
