At our most recent meeting, Police Scotland advised that reports in the last month have reduced considerably. It was also noted that some of the concerns raised during our meeting were not registered with them.

Recent incidents of crime have been reported across Garthamlock, Craigend, and Gartloch, including:

โžก๏ธAnti-social behaviour

We strongly encourage residents to report any crime via the following channels:

Addressing Community Concerns: Taking Action Against the Surge in Crime

In a recent community council meeting held on 29 August 2023, several concerned residents came forward to voice their worries about a growing surge in crime throughout our community. The alarming increase in house break-ins and car thefts has left many residents feeling vulnerable and anxious about their safety.

Recognising the urgency of the situation, the community council has taken proactive steps to address these concerns. Following extensive discussions during the meeting, the community council has issued a formal letter addressed to all elected members representing Ward 21. This letter includes our Local Councillors, constituency MSP, regional MSPs, and MP.
