We’ve been informed that Craigend Post Office closed unexpectedly on Friday 6 March 2026 due to operational reasons. This late notification is deeply troubling, especially given how vital this branch is for residents who rely on local postal services, banking access, and everyday essentials.

The Post Office has said they are working to restore services, but no reopening date has been provided. In the meantime, they have directed customers to alternative branches in Millerston and Ruchazie.

As a community, we know how important this facility is — particularly for older residents, people with mobility challenges, and anyone who depends on having services close to home. Losing it, even temporarily, has a real impact.
